Our Minimum Schedule
We require a minimum of 6-9 hours per week (3-hour visits, 2-3 times weekly). Meaningful safety monitoring requires consistent presence—one-time check-ins don’t establish the routine needed.
Paying for Care: Medicare & Insurance Accepted
We accept and bill many major insurance plans, including Medicare Advantage plans. Coverage varies by plan, so we verify eligibility and benefits before services begin. Private pay options are also available.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a medical wellness visit?
No. These are non-medical check-ins focused on routine, safety, companionship, and daily support. We’re not performing medical assessments or taking vitals—we’re providing consistent presence and observation.
Can you respond to emergencies?
We follow established emergency procedures. If something happens during our visit, we’ll call 911 and family immediately. We’ll review contact plans and emergency protocols during your consultation.
What do you do during a check-in visit?
It varies by need, but typically: we check in on how they’re feeling, ensure meals are happening, remind about medications, tidy up fall hazards, provide companionship, help with simple tasks, and observe for any concerning changes. Then we communicate observations to the family.
Can you provide overnight check-ins?
Yes, depending on coverage needs and availability. Some families want overnight presence for safety monitoring. We’ll discuss options during the consultation.
My parent says they don't need help. Will they accept check-in visits?
Often, yes. “Check-ins” feel less intrusive than “care.” Many seniors resist personal care but will accept companionship, a little help with tasks, or someone to chat with. We’ll discuss the best framing and approach during the consultation.
Is this the same as a medical alert system or Life Alert?
No. Those are emergency response devices. We’re actual people providing routine presence, companionship, and practical help. Many families use both—an alert system for emergencies and us for consistent support.
Can we start with check-ins and add more care later if needed?
Absolutely. Many families start with wellness check-ins and gradually add personal care, meal prep, or other services as needs change. We’re flexible and adjust as you go.
